Get to know Richard

Richard McArthur. Big ideas. Small town values.  Richard  grew up in Fair Oaks, California, a small town just outside of Sacramento.  

After  earning a BA degree in economics, from the University of California, Richard joined the U.S. Air Force and became a pilot. He was honorably discharged as a captain in 1972. 

He then joined the FBI and was a Special Agent for 25 years. His cases included bank robberies, kidnappings, foreign counterintelligence, bombings, and terrorism. He also served as a longtime firearms instructor, retiring from the FBI after serving his last 16 years in the Las Vegas FBI office.

Richard has been married to his wife, Trish, for more than 48 years. They have two daughters, Kimberly and Michele. Kimberly graduated from UNLV and Michele graduated from UNR. Both daughters are married. Richard and his wife have five grandchildren. Both daughters and their husbands live in Las Vegas.
